How I like to roll.

If you've taken the time to peruse the site and review some of my work, you've likely come to the conclusion that I don't shoot overly posey or contrived images. I really do try to capture things as they unfold during our time together. I want to get to know you, chat about more than just the weather, and see you genuinely enjoying the people you are being photographed with (even if it's just yourself). Of course, I guide you along the way and help you figure out what to do with your hands (see FAQs).

My style of photography is not for everyone and that's totally ok! What I do is for myself, just as much as it is for my clients. I want to ensure that the photographs you go home with, are ones that I would want to have on my wall too. I enjoy what I do and I've learned over time that in order for me to continue creating work that inspires me and makes me feel good, I must do what I feel comfortable with; and I find it particularly challenging to try and recreate someone else's work. 

So my advice:

If you have your hopes set on one particular style of image, and you don't see it here, go out there and get it! Portraits of you and your loved ones are a sound investment. Don't settle for something that is only going make you half-way happy. 

Ultimately, however, I hope that you aim for something that's uniquely you...and of course, my fingers are crossed that I get to be the one to capture it all!
